Bield’s community services aim to help older people with care and support needs to stay in their own homes.

A range of innovative services have been developed over the years, including:-

Flexicare works with older people with dementia. The service is needs led. Support is provided at a time and place that brings maximum benefit to the service user and/or their carer. More about Flexicare can be found in this section.

Supported Living services enable older people to continue to enjoy normal daily living. Help is provided to enable people to go out shopping, to go out to social events, or to carry on with hobbies. Assistance with domestic tasks such as cleaning can be provided. Personal care is also part of the flexible package.

Respite care provides short breaks for older people and/or their carers. We currently offer respite facilities at Linlithgow, Jedburgh, Greenock and Kirkitilloch.

Day care provides opportunities to older people for companionship and a variety of activities. Services aim to be needs led and responsive to the wishes of service users and their carers.

We have a range of day care services currently operating in six local authority areas: East Dunbartonshire, Falkirk, Fife, Glasgow, South Lanarkshire and West Lothian.
