housing with care
This type of housing is designed for older people who require some assistance to live independently. We have a number of properties termed Housing with Care located in the West Lothian area.
Some developments are run in partnership with the local authority and have staff teams provided and managed by the local authority.
A typical staff team will include a Scheme Manager, a Deputy Manager, Scheme Assistants, Cook and Domestic Assistant. The staff teams will provide enhanced support to tenants as agreed during the allocation process.
In addition to the high quality of accommodation extra facilities in Housing with care include:
- a meals service provided in an attractive dining area.
- a communal lounge to assist social contact and companionship
- a laundry complete with efficient and economic washing and drying facilities
- a guest suite for use by friends and relatives
- enhanced security by controlled entry access and a full fire alarm system
- additional staff cover to provide extra support as required.
- cleaning of common areas
- maintenance of all shared areas, including the garden and grounds
In most housing with care developments the local authority will be partially or fully involved in the allocation process.
