Following the successful implementation of IT into all projects and schemes, Bield Housing Association is now moving forward with the next stage of their ICT Strategy. The implementation of an Intranet will take place this year. A number of organisations utilise Intranets and the benefits of utilising such technology within a diverse organisation such as Bield are many. Faster and more efficient communication, easier access to information and effective management of documents are just a few of the benefits that Bield staff will enjoy. Bield has approximately 300 ICT users spread across four offices and 150 schemes and projects. Good communication links are essential for any business and with multiple sites, an Intranet will be a cost effective solution enabling improved communication across the Association. It is envisaged the Intranet will be up and running by the Summer. As well as developing an Intranet, the Association will also be reviewing their web site during the coming financial year.
