A large number of Bield's Sheltered and Very Sheltered housing schemes have guest room facilities. These facilities can be used by:
- Family members of tenants who live in the scheme
- Scheme based staff providing overnight support
- Tenants, residents or service users of other Bield schemes as part of Bield's Holiday Club
Please note that facilities do vary from scheme to scheme - please check what is available and any specific access requirements at the time of booking.
Booking Arrangements
No minimum advance notice is required although we suggest that you book early to avoid disappointment. A provisional booking can be accepted but cannot be confirmed until 4 weeks before a stay.
Holiday Club bookings should be made through the Scheme Manager of the scheme you normally reside in. If you live in Amenity Housing, your Housing Officer will be able to do this for you.
Length of stay
The maximum length of stay is usually 2 weeks, but in exceptional circumstances this period can be extended.
General Information
- Meals are not generally provided but some very sheltered developments may be able to offer meals, depending on the needs of the scheme. This should be discussed at the time of booking.
- Guests are responsible for making their own transport arrangements.
- No pets are allowed in the guest facilities (except assistance dogs).
- Smoking is not permitted in guest facilities or communal areas.
