Brighter days are on the horizon

As the nights get brighter, the weather gets better and Covid-19 restrictions begin to ease, now is the perfect time to keep moving to stay healthy and improve wellbeing.

Leading an active lifestyle has shown to be more important than ever before. Exercise is an easy and inexpensive way to boost your mental, physical and social wellbeing.

With restrictions easing, there are now more opportunities to try new activities and enjoy exercising in all its forms.

Whether it is a walk around the block, a cycle or an exercise class, any amount of physical activity can help clear your head, stay active and socialise with a friend.

If you are new to exercise, start small with 10 minutes of an activity and gradually build up over time.

The recent easing of restrictions now allows you to take part in indoor exercise, such as attending a gym, as well as outdoor exercise as part of a group. If you decide to exercise outside with other people, make sure to maintain social distancing and frequently clean or sanitize your hands.
