The Met Office has issued an Amber Weather Warning for much of Scotland as Storm Amy is set to bring very strong winds and heavy rain.
An Amber warning for wind has been issued for northern and western parts of Scotland which comes into force from 5:00pm on Friday (3rd October) and will be active until 9:00am on Saturday (4th October). The warning highlights a danger to life, the possibility of power cuts, travel disruption and particularly dangerous conditions near coasts.
