At Bield, the safety and wellbeing of our tenants is our top priority. We want everyone to feel comfortable, confident and secure in their home.
We have recently been made aware of instances where uninvited vendors have visited some developments, offering high-value products to tenants. In a few cases, these approaches may have felt pressurised or unexpected.
While many visitors may be genuine, it’s important to remain cautious when dealing with anyone you were not expecting.
What you should know
- You are not required to let anyone into your home if you are not expecting them
- It is perfectly okay to politely refuse entry or ask someone to leave
- You should never feel pressured to make a purchase or decision on the spot
- Take your time to consider whether something is right for you
Our advice
If a vendor arrives at your development without prior arrangement or approval, please treat the situation with care. Do not feel obliged to engage with them or support their products or services.
Trust your instincts – if something doesn’t feel right, it’s always best to take a cautious approach.
When to seek help
If you feel uncomfortable or concerned about someone’s behaviour, you can contact the police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.
