Bield’s digital alarm monitoring service achieves fully compliant TSA audit following successful platform transition to Scottish cloud-based National Alarm Receiving Centre

We have been awarded another fully compliant TSA (TEC Services Association) Quality Standards Framework audit, recognising the high quality and effectiveness of our BR24 digital alarm monitoring service.

The service, which discretely supports people to live safely and independently at home, operates constantly, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The TSA audit also recognised that, using our SkyResponse platform, we successfully integrated our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) into Scotland’s cloud-based National Shared ARC during the last year.

Gary Baillie, Bield’s Head of BR24 & Assistive Technology Development said:

“I am really proud of the whole BR24 team for achieving another fully compliant TSA Quality Standards Framework audit, with no recommendations or areas for improvement identified.

“To achieve this during such a significant year of change, including the successful move of our ARC to Scotland’s National Shared ARC with the SkyResponse platform, is a fantastic result for BR24 and for Bield as a whole. It reflects the commitment, professionalism and resilience shown by the team involved, throughout the transformation.

“Most importantly, it means that our tenants and customers know that, when they need us, there is a safe, reliable and high-quality service which is supporting them at all times. Knowing that the service works effectively to support people to live independently, feel reassured and receive the right response at the right time has really driven all the BR24 team. I’d like to thank them for their amazing hard work  and commitment to the service. This is a result we should all be genuinely proud of.

Through the BR24 service, provided across Scotland, we deliver telecare services to more than 53,000 tenants and customers, working with housing providers, local authorities and Health and Social Care Partnerships to help people live safely and independently in their own homes.

Charlotte Downing, Interim Head of Membership at TSA said:

“We are delighted to see Bield achieve a fully compliant TEC Quality Standards audit. This achievement reflects a strong commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery. It gives residents, customers, commissioners and partner organisations confidence that BR24 is delivering safe, reliable and high-quality support, underpinned by recognised sector standards and best practice.”

Bield’s BR24 service supports independent living by:

  • Helping people remain safe in their own homes
  • Providing reassurance to customers, families and carers
  • Supporting early action before situations escalate
  • Strengthening links between housing, health and social care partners
  • Enabling people to maintain dignity, choice and control
  • Using technology to support human connection, not replace it
